Britain's largest lake by surface area — wild trout, big pike, perch, roach and the occasional powan (a relict freshwater whitefish). Salmon and sea trout run from the Endrick and Leven in season. Best fished from a boat, especially the southern shallows.

Permits from the Loch Lomond Angling Improvement Association. Salmon and sea trout require a separate ticket. The loch is part of a National Park — pay attention to mooring rules.
